Dear Flying Duck Families,

We have another exciting week ahead! Please take a few minutes to read through this week's important updates and reminders.

🏊 Saturday's Home Meet – Virginia Oaks

This Saturday is our final home meet of the season as we take on Virginia Oaks!

It will also be a special day as we recognize our Senior (aging out) swimmers and coaches. During the meet, we'll take a few moments to honor each of them for their dedication and years with the Flying Ducks.

Meet Reminders

✅ Commit or decline your swimmer – Coaches will be entering swimmers into events tomorrow morning, so please update your swimmer's status as soon as possible.

✅ Sign up for a volunteer position – Home meets require significantly more volunteers than away meets, and we need all hands on deck!

✅ Donate items for concessions – This is a great way to earn volunteer points while helping support the team.

Friday Setup: Join us Friday at 6:15 PM to help set up for Saturday's meet. Families are also welcome to set up their tents at that time.

🍦 Ice Cream Party – TODAY!

Thanks to everyone's incredible fundraising efforts, our entire team has earned an Ice Cream Party!

We'll be celebrating during practice today, so be sure your swimmer doesn't miss out!

A huge thank you to everyone who registered, shared their fundraising links, and supported our team. Together, we raised over $1,200, surpassing our fundraising goal!

🏆 Congratulations to our top fundraiser, Kyler Rohrback! Kyler has earned FREE registration for the 2027 Summer Swim Season!

We'll also be holding the drawing for our Giant Fluffy Duck soon.

Thank you again for helping make this fundraiser such a huge success!

🍔 Team Lunch at Glory Days

After Saturday's meet, we'll be gathering for lunch at Glory Days.

📍 Please plan to arrive around 11:30 AM–12:00 PM.

Even if your swimmer isn't participating in the meet, we'd love for your family to join us. It's a great opportunity to celebrate the season together!

Swim Clinics Continue

Clinics will continue during the second hour of evening practice.

If a coach invites your swimmer to participate, please plan to stay. Swimmers who would simply like additional instruction are also welcome to join if space allows.

🌞 Morning Practices

Tuesdays & Fridays from 9:30–10:30 AM

For:

• Groups 2–6
• Group 1, unassisted swimmers

We're excited to announce a new raffle featuring a Camping Chair/Couch!

🎟️ Tickets are $1 each and can be purchased at the concessions stand.

The drawing date will be announced soon.

Skate N Fun Zone

Monday, July 13 there will only be Morning Practice from 9:30 AM–11:30 AM

Please note: The calendar currently lists practice ending at 10:30 AM, but practice will actually run until 11:30 AM.

Team Skate from 6:00–9:00 PM

Cost: $11 per person

Includes:

• Skate rental
• Pizza
• Arcade tokens

Invite your friends and family—they're welcome to join us for a fun evening!

📸 Team Picture Day – Date Change

New Date: Thursday, July 16

Please arrive 15–20 minutes early so we have enough time to hand out team shirts, organize swimmers, and begin pictures promptly at 6:30 PM.

Please Note:

There will be NO practice that evening.

Swimmers should arrive wearing their team suit and be ready to put their team shirt on over it.

Picture night can get busy and hot, so please bring water and anything else your family may need to stay comfortable while waiting.

• Estaremos reconociendo a nuestros nadadores y entrenadores que se gradúan del equipo.
