Meet Our Group Coaches
Our Group Coaches are the next generation of experienced swimmers from our team stepping into mentorship roles with energy, enthusiasm, and a passion for the sport. They assist during practices, lead warm-ups, and support younger athletes, helping create a fun, inclusive, and encouraging environment for all swimmers.
Hello, I am Coach Briana!! I’m proud to say I’ve always been a duck! I started swimming as a little duckling on this team at the age of 4. That is where I fell in love with the water and this love later lead me to swim competitively with NCAP at the age of 9. I’ve been coaching with Ben Lomond for the past two seasons and started volunteering even before then. I have been able to build a close relationship with my kiddos and truly enjoy every single one of them. I am CPR certified and as a coach I prioritize the safety of everyone in the pool. Along with that, my coaching style consists of a focus on technique and fun! Making sure every swimmer properly swims and becomes comfortable in the water, with that comes the fun!! I hope that everyone falls in love with this sport just as I did! I look forward to seeing you all in the pool and I can’t wait for this season to begin!!
Hi!! I’m Mia, I’m a coach for the Ben Lomond Flying Ducks Summer Swim Team. In years prior I primarily worked with our Ducklings group which are the youngest swimmers just getting started. In addition to coaching, I’m also a certified lifeguard, trained in Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certified. I do my best to make sure every swimmer feels secure and supported. My favorite part of coaching is creating a fun and positive environment where kids can learn, get better, and most importantly, enjoy the water. I’m so grateful to be a part of the Ben Lomond swim family!

Hey everyoneI’m Coach Memo and I’mreally excited to be back with the Ducks this summer. I’ve been swimming with the team since I was nine and this will be my third year coaching. I’ve also been swimming with Occoquan for five years now and it’s taught me a lot that I love sharing with the younger swimmers. I care a lot about my kids and I always want to help them do their best. I try to make practices fun while helping everyone improve and feel confident in the water. Watching them grow and get better each week is the best part of the job. Butterfly is my favorite stroke and my best one too. I’m always aiming for a record and pushing myself to improve. Can’t wait for a great season ahead. Let’s go Ducks!
Hello! I am coach Ariana, and I have been swimming with Ben Lomond since I was 4 years old. I have enjoyed every moment of being a duck as it has been so rewarding. When I was 9 I started swimming year round with NCAP and am still going strong with them. With all the experience that I gained I started aiding with the ducks at 14 and now this will be my third year coaching. I am CPR certified and ensure that safety is my top priority. I’m super passionate about getting my swimmers to fall in love with the sport as I did when I started with the ducks. My favorite part is getting to see all the kids have fun and enjoy their summers together. I’m super excited to continue coaching this summer and am so grateful to be apart of our little Ben Lomond family!
