Welcome Back Info + Important Meet Info (Sat, June 6 2026)
Welcome back Flying Ducks Families! 🐥💛
We are so excited to kick off another fun summer swim season with all of our returning and new families! Thank you to everyone who attended the team meeting last night. Below is some important information and reminders for the season and this weekend’s meet.
🏊 Practice Schedule
Monday, Wednesday and Thursday
Group 1–3: 6:30 PM – 7:30 PM
Group 4–6: 7:30 PM – 8:30 PM
Ducklings begin June 11th!
Morning practices will be on Tuesdays & Fridays beginning June 12th from 9:30 AM – 10:30 AM for swimmers who are able to attend and want extra practice time during the summer season!
👕 T-Shirt Contest
There is still ONE MORE WEEK to submit designs for the team t-shirt contest!
🌦️ Weather Cancellations
Weather updates and cancellations will be communicated through our normal team communication channels. Please keep an eye on emails and team notifications during questionable weather.
🚻 Bathrooms
Bathrooms close promptly at 8:40 PM. If your swimmer will need additional time to change, please let the coaches know ahead of time so they may leave practice a few minutes early.
🙌 Volunteers Needed
Swim team is truly an ALL HANDS ON DECK sport — parents included! We need volunteers for meets throughout the season and we will gladly provide training. Thank you in advance for helping make our meets successful!
🍿 Concessions & Team Store
Concessions will be available during practices and meets.
Available items: Goggles — $8 each
We are also accepting concession donations for practices and meets. Please sign up through the website if you would like to donate items for upcoming meets.

⭐ Officials Needed
We are currently looking for meet officials. Training will be provided, and no prior experience is necessary!
SATURDAY MEET INFORMATION
This weekend the Ben Lomond Flying Ducks will compete against the OLD BRIDGE BREAKERS (OBB) !
📍 Meet Location: OLD BRIDGE BREAKERS - 3600 Beaver Pond Road Lake Ridge, VA 22192
⏰ Warm-Ups: 6:15 AM
📣 IMPORTANT – Commit or Decline for the Meet!
Parents, please make sure to COMMIT or DECLINE your swimmer for the meet as soon as possible. Whether your swimmer can attend or not, we need everyone to respond.
To do this:
• Go to “Meets & Events” on the website
• Click the Signup Calendar
• Select the correct meet and commit or decline
You may also commit or decline for all meets now so everything is already completed for the season.
🍽️ Lunch After the Meet
We will gather for lunch after Saturday’s meet for anyone who would like to join! (More information to follow)
